The Fassett Family {Nashville Dog Photographer}

I love seeing familiar faces, but one thing I probably love even more is seeing new furry family members! I've photographed the Fassett family before they adopted their dog, and this time I had the opportunity to spend some time photographing their two kids and new pup, Chewy, at their home in Brentwood!

Chewy is only one year old and named after Chewbacca from Star Wars, since he just happened to look like him. He's a havanese and doesn't shed, which is great because his new mom, Courtney, has allergies. He's a big fan of belly rubs and snuggles, and loves to follow Courtney around everywhere (like her little shadow!). Chewy is also super lovable, and hides bones around the house -- and even acts all surprised when he goes looking for it the next day! So cute.

You can see Chewy in the pictures below with Miller (8) and Collins (6). Miller loves Minecraft, Star Wars, Nerf Battles, swimming, being with his buddies, biking and reading. Collins also loves Minecraft, American Girl, loves playing school and being with friends.

Daisy {Brentwood Dog Photographer}

It's not every day I get the chance to take portraits of dogs as adorable and happy as Daisy!

Below you'll get to meet this playful 12-year-old basset hound and her parents Brittany and Mike.

Not only does she love food of any kind, but she has the sweetest basset hound eyes that no one can say no to! Brittany and Mike love her personality and are extremely glad she has really "come alive" since they adopted her after she had been neglected and used as a breeder. They found her at Willy's Happy Endings in Clarksville, TN, and now she's such an important part of the Walker family!

I had a blast with them at Smith Park in Brentwood, and since there was so much space for her to be off the leash, she ran a lot. More than she had ever run before, which made it all the more fun to photograph!

Elizabeth, Joe & Chauncey {Nashville Dog Lifestyle Photographer}

Elizabeth has done more work for the benefit of animals than most people I know.  And it's only fitting that she finally did some photos with her furry children - Chauncey and Joe! Both pups are rescues (of course) and like our own old gal Rosie, both have helped Elizabeth with lots of foster pup training over the years....

So when Elizabeth came to me with the idea of doing a dog lifestyle session I was so excited! What's a lifestyle session you ask? Well, think of it more in terms of  capturing interaction than posing for the camera. For example, in the gallery I have for Elizabeth there are less than five images in the entire thing where she is looking at the camera. It was a bit of a departure from what I normally do and I loved every second of it!
