The Moran Family {Nashville Dog Photographer}

Wow, it has been a while since I blogged here at Mandy Whitley Photography. Summer and fall came and went and now it’s a brand new year!

Now on to some sweet animal pics…I first worked with Josh and Laura Moran for their wedding ten years ago. You can see their wedding photos with this link: https://mandywhitleyphotography.com/blog/2014/01/laura-joshs-kentucky-farm-wedding-nashville-wedding-photographer?rq=moran. Their wedding was at a farm in Kentucky, today’s blog photos were taken Marcella Vivrette Smith Park several years ago.

Their sweet Sunny passed away this fall. I know Josh and Laura are missing him so much!

Meet the pups: Ollie is an 11-year-old mixed breed that the Moran’s like to call “a KY black dog”. He got his name because he reminded Laura of a black olive. They also have a sheltie named Sunny. Sunny is nine years old and was named by her parents. Then there is Bruce, named after Bruce Wayne because of his bat ears, who is a mixed breed . The Moran’s label him as “a TN black dog”. Bruce is only one.

What is it that these three pups like doing with their time? Ollie loves his treats and chasing chipmunks in the backyard. Sunny also loves all the treats along with naps and being dried off with a towel. The two older dogs have to be careful because along came Bruce who loves the treats too! He loves playing fetch and getting those booty scratches as well.

But what do they dislike? Ollie dislikes thunderstorms and Sunny isn’t a big fan of the mailman. Bruce doesn’t not like the vacuum cleaner! Bruce doesn’t like people much and just prefers Josh and Laura.

When it comes to what the Moran couple loves so much about their fur babies, here is what they told me:
”Ollie is so snuggly and sweet.”
”Sunny gives the best kisses and loves to go between our legs for pets.”
”Bruce and his personality has started to really shine and he is just so silly and bouncy.” I also asked them what they liked most about the breed each dog is, and they said, “Ollie and Bruce are mixed breed, which makes them extra special!

The Moran’s rescued Ollie and Bruce. Ollie was a stray and Bruce was rescued from Bonaparte’s Retreat.

The Vance Family {Nashville Dog Photographer}

Say hello to the Vance Family: Ben, Tiara and their sweet twins Wiley and John. The boys are both five years old just like my Liam! Ben's sister Katie got them a gift certificate for Christmas for a session with me (gift certificates are always available for purchase!). The Vance’s invited me to come to their home to take some family photos with their sweet old pup Sawyer. He is 14 and doesn't travel too well these days.

Sawyer is a mixed breed and the family likes to call him a “Tennessee Brown Dog”, and whatever his mix is has given him the best personality! When asked how the Sawyer got his name, Ben said “When Tiara and I were first dating, we watched the show LOST together – he's named after Sawyer on that show because he's handsome and a little bit sneaky sometimes.” I can relate to that as our Don Draper was named while we were watching Mad Men, and he was very handsome and a little neurotic.

Sawyer loves his sleep time and sitting outside and dislikes bathing more than anything. Ben and Tiara really love that he has always had the most gentle and patient disposition when it comes to children.

The Vance’s rescued Sawyer off of petfinder.com. A random lady had picked up their handsome pup as a stray and posted it on the website. No organization to credit, but I am sure The Vance’s are thanking that lady for saving this sweet dog.

Below are some of my favorite pictures from their session.

Eva, Bugatti, Porsche, and Roxy {Nashville Pet Photography}

Well summer is {almost} officially here, and it was been a busy Spring. I am super thankful for that and for my long-time client, Eva Evans. Eva is a vet and has her own practice in Nashville, City Pets Animal Care. She is about to open a second location! We took photos of her two foster bunnies and her sweet pup at Centennial Park for a spring mini.

The foster bunnies are six months old. Bugatti (aka Boo) is the one with the red eyes and Porsche is the other one. I love that they are named after sports cars! Fitting because they were found with their mom in a garage. Eva is fostering them through Piccolo Farms, a place where the owners “provide a loving forever home to unwanted, abused, or neglected livestock.”

Roxy is Eva’s 14 year old rescue pup from the Jefferson County Humane Society. Roxy’s favorite thing to do is cuddle, but she also loves her treats and her ball. Eva loves that she is so snuggly and adorable and loves to play.
