The Osborn-Dudley Family {Nashville Family Photographer}

On the blog today is the Osborn-Dudley family! Meet Matt, Chandra, Elliott, Gwendolyn, and their sweet pup Toa in some of my favorite shots below. Photos were taken at Marcella Vivrette Smith Park during their fall mini session. They just adopted Toa during quarantine from East C.A.N. My very own pups came from East C.A.N., so I definitely have special love for them.

The Osborn-Dudley’s are friends of mine, which always makes sessions so much fun! I had the honor of photographing Elliott’s birth in 2012 - an amazing experience! Elliott, who is now 8 (where does the time go?), is into star wars, Zelda and baseball. His little sister, Gwendolyn, is 5 and is into logic puzzles, reading and Dog Man. I feel compelled to mention that the freckles on these cute kids are so great!

And last but not least, Toa, their beautiful pup. He was badly abused before being rescued and adopted. Chandra named him the Samoan name “Toa” which means “Brave Warrior”. Completely fitting.

Enjoy the photos!

Meet East C.A.N. Adoptable Dog-Captain Louie! {Nashville Dog Photographer}

You all may remember we had a little Louie here about a year ago and this IS that same sweet boy. Here are his puppy photos if you want to get a look to refresh your memory! Louie was adopted by a sweet couple who are now relocating to NYC and just can't take him with them. They are heart broken and are committed to finding him a great home before they leave. I did these new photos of Captain Louie last week and fell in love with this sweet dog all over again. I'm serious people, he is a special dog and you need to meet him! He's very handsome and (in my opinion) the perfect weight at about 45 pounds. Louie's a mix of shepherd/dobie/many other things and he's got the best giant ears ever!

Captain Louie is 1 year, he's neutered, up to date on all his shots, AND  he's completely house trained! He loves being around & playing with other dogs, and has been good with the kids he's been in contact with. Sweet and attentive, he's eager to please. He doesn't chew things and doesn't chase other animals (like squirrels). Captain Louie is timid at first, so he took a few minutes to warm up but once he did I was hooked (and you will be too)!

Please consider adopting Captain Louie - I think you'll be glad you did! If you are interested in meeting him please contact East C.A.N. on their site or email them at info@eastcan.org!

P.S. It's funny, as I was posting these I noticed you can see the progression of how he was feeling from start to finish. At first he wasn't sure about me, then at the end - totally relaxed! (all the the span of 3o minutes)

Layla & Daphne - East C.A.N. Adoptables! {Nashville Dog Photographer}

I promised more pups and today we have two sweet ladies that really want to find their forever homes! First up today is Daphne! Daphne is a beautiful one year old blue brindle mix and weighs about 45 pounds (which I think is the perfect size!) She loves to play and run around, but also loves to snuggle when time for bed.  She even likes to get under the covers!

Daphne is a people-pleaser and enthusiastically wags her tail when she sees her person.  In fact, her foster parents nick-named her “Wiggle-Butt.”  She is currently living with her foster parents’ two dogs, and is doing great, but she'd probably do best in a home without any cats. Daphne loves going for car rides and knows the commands sit, shake, and wait.  She will not eat until given permission.  She is house trained, spayed, and up-to-date with vetting.

Next is sweet Layla. Layla was SO good during our photo shoot. She just posed and posed some more for me! Layla is a mellow girl and is only 35 pounds, so she's a pretty small gal. Layla is doing great in her foster home and recently hung out with her foster's 9 and 10 year old cousins and loved them! I just love her little serious face.  She is about 2 and ½ years old. She loves to play, go on walks and is a huge cuddle bug. She is terrific in the car and is housebroken!

If you are interested in meeting Daphne or Layla (or any of the pups I've been blogging this week!) please email info@eastcan.org or go ahead and fill out the application on East C.A.N.'s website!

Here's DAPHNE!
