On this week's blog is a fun engagement session with two sweet rescue dogs at Ellington Agriculture Center in Nashville!
Samantha Eleanor is a 12 year old blue healer and was rescued through Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown, Iowa. Nicolle named her Sam for Sammi Sweetheart when she was watching Jersey Shore. She earned her middle name “Ellie” because when she was a pup she had…um… gas and was smelly, so she became Sam-Ellie. Hah! Sam loves people and attention. Sam dislikes weedeaters, lawnmowers, or any loud mechanical engines. She is incredibly loyal and protective of Nicolle and is a very affectionate and sweet girl.
Owen Douglas is about 3 years old and is Catahoula hound dog. Owen was rescued through Friends of Rescue in Alabama. His foster mom named him Owen and it fit him so well, Robert and Nicolle decided to keep it. His middle name comes from the movie Up because he is the real-life version of Doug.
Owen loves everything and everyone, especially large men with beards. He LOVES FOOD. All he wants in life is to eat, play fetch, lick your face, and cuddle. Owen is the most happy go lucky dog ever, though he is very protective of his back legs (he had to have his hip broken as a puppy and they worked with him very hard to get his leg back to normal again).
Samatha has been Nicolle’s ride or die best friend for over a decade. Nicolle rescued Owen about 2 weeks before she and Robert met and she admits that he’s become Robert’s dog.
Below are some of my favorites from the session with Robert, Nicolle, Sam and Owen! Enjoy!
